I love reflections, especially in water when it is still and undisturbed. It looks as if an omnipresent being has placed a mirror directly underneath these beautiful buildings. The only thing telling the viewer that its water reflecting the image and not an abstract depiction, is the slight interruptions in the centre which almost looks like a marble effect. I enjoy how this image is in focus and how the sunlight is dimly beaming into the right hand side building highlighting it in the centre.
This is one of my favourites simply because it looks like there is a tunnel or some type of portal just perfectly situated beneath the train track. The distorted reflection of the leaves and the boats makes it look to me like some type of inter-dimensional passage. I did not realise at first when I took this shot that it would be one of my favourites, I think thats why I've ended up liking it so much. As I analyse the image further I also notice that the graffiti is mostly all blue and red making the composition flow and directs the viewers eyes across the bridge and down to the portal.

The colour palette in this image is so cute! A soft, pastel mint green (one of my favourites). The pastel sky compliments the right hand side building and the muted tones of the right hand side building brings out the lightness of the right one which I really like about this image. What I also notice about this image is that there is some sort of interruption in the bottom right hand corner. There must have been a building opposite which was creating a stunning reflection and pattern. I love to photograph these types of interruptions as it gives an abstract quality to a completely naturalistic building which the public may not even notice.
This image has had the most positive response from the people I have shown all my images to. I think this may be because of the muted tones of the overall image and the gradual gradient of light hitting the windows from the top right corner. As a photographer I am drawn to objects and colours that match. So for example having the muted bottle green glass of the Wagamama's restaurant and the window frames of the juxtaposing building matching each other Drew my attention initially to the form of the architecture.
